Chairman Ros-Lehtinen Bills to Expand and Strengthen U.S. sanctions on Iran Pass House

Chairman Ros-Lehtinen speaks in favor of two bills she authored to expand and strengthen U.S. sanctions on the Iranian regime. The Iran Threat Reduction Act (H.R. 1905) closes loopholes in existing sanctions against Iran's energy and financial sectors, sanctions Iranian regime officials, and expands sanctions against those who help rogue regimes expand their dangerous weapons programs. The Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Modernization and Reform Act (H.R. 2105) seeks to cut-off the supply networks to Iran, Syria, and North Korea.

Chairman Ros-Lehtinen Discusses Proposal to Reform United Nations

Committee Chairman Ros-Lehtinen discusses the United Nations Transparency, Accountability and Reform Act (H.R. 2829), which demands control over how U.S. tax dollars are spent at the UN. By shifting UN funding from a mandatory to a voluntary structure, the bill will enable the U.S. to withhold funding from backwards programs and organizations, and use our contributions as leverage to press for real reform.

Reforming the United Nations
